“Our very business in life is not to get ahead of others…
but to get ahead of ourselves.”

                                               Thomas S. Monson

I think that this statement means that people shouldn't be trying to be better than others; they should try to make themselves a better person and stop judging other people so that they can become a better person than they were before.

“True wealth is the heart, not of the purse.”

                                    Og Mandino

I think that this quote means that, true wealth is not how much money you have or how big your house is. True wealth is when you have a kind heart and you’re not a cruel person to others who might not be in the same positions as you or not have the same amount of money as you.

                                                                                                                                            Sudent Success Statement

"Real wealth is not so much what we have as what we are.

                                                                    Sterling W. Sill

I think that this quote means that real wealth shouldn't mean more to a person than wealth in our hearts. Real wealth is not who you are, even if you have a lot of real wealth you shouldn't care more about it than having the wealth that makes you be a good person.

“Education is the latchkey to success in life.”

                                                                 Gordon B. Hinckley

I think that this quote means that if you have an education you will have a more successful life than the people who didn’t have one. You have to choose your future and you get to pick whether you want to have successful life or you want to be the type of person who didn’t have an education and think they are failures.

First week of High School

My first week in Hpiam has been pretty good so far. Since I was in middle school last year it feels kind of different to be in high school. I like my classes so far and I have made some new friends as well. I am taking algebra 2, biology, instruments, biomed, and English. I really hope to make some new friends this year and my next years here at Hpiam.

                           “DECISIONS DETERMINE DESTINY”

    Thomas S. Monson

This quote means that your decisions chooses what you want to or are going to be in life, whatever decision that is either good or bad, it will affect you later on in life and it will determine who you will be.
