                                                Student Success Statement

“You have brains in your head,
You have feet in your shoes;
You can steer yourself in
Any direction you choose.
You’re on your own,
And you know what you know.
You are the guy who’ll decide where to go.”

                      Dr.Seuss

I think that this quote means that you have to choose the direction you want to go, you can either choose the right or you can choose the wrong. Whatever your choice is, you have to deal with the consequences that come with it for the rest of you life.

Reflection: I would not like to be a trauma nurse because it seems like a job that needs people to be fast and I’m not fast. I don’t like dealing with accidents myself so I wouldn’t like to deal with other peoples accidents and end up hurting them even more.

“Obedience is the great test of life.”

                Thomas S. Monson

I think that this quote means that, if you are obedient and you try to be obedient, you will be successful in life. You will get rewarded for your obedience and you will feel good after because it will make you feel good within your heart. Obedience is life a test because you have to go through it every day and you have to learn to be obedient.

“Obedience is central to becoming, being, and                                                remaining happy.”

                                          David Bednar

I think that this quote means that if you are obedient you will be happy and you will remain happy. If you are obedient you can do some stuff that other people who aren't obedient cannot and that is what will make you happy. You can go out with your friends and do other fun stuff but you must still be obedient.

                                               Reggie Bush

Reggie Bush was the running back of the USC Trojans in 2005. He was one of the best players in his time and he even won the Heisman Trophy. Everything changed when the NCAA investigated and found out that he had cheated. They found out that he had committed multiple violations so they decided to take away the Heisman trophy from him. Personally I think that that was totally unnecessary and if he would have played fair, he would still have the trophy and he wouldn't be a shame to USC college football. He did not choose the right and he got punished because of that. If he would have chosen the right, he would've not be ashamed of what he did and he wouldn't have done it in the first place.

                                                 Reggie Bush

“Obedience sums up our entire duty”

Hosea Ballou
220px-Hosea_Ballou_2 (1).png

I think that this quote means that, if we are obedient, that will sum up what people will think about you.If you are obedient that means that people will see you as an obedient person and they will think of you that way. Our decisions will determine how people see us.

“The more obedient we are, the more freedom we have.”

                                 Boyd K. Packer

I think that this quote means that if you obey, you get rewarded with being free. You get to be freer than the people who have not obeyed either the law or who haven’t obeyed their parents. You get to go out with friends or go to the movies but if you do not obey, you don’t get that privilege.

World Trade Center

September 11, 2001 is a date that everyone remembers. The day started like every other day, calm and quite, but at that time 2 planes were being hijacked by a terrorists group. People were calmly boarding the plane they had just taken in Boston and they had already taken off when a group of terrorists from the Al-Qaeda started injuring flight attendants and pilots. This was happening on two different planes. At 8:46 a.m. a plane crashed into the North tower. Seventeen minutes later another plane crashed into the southern tower. People that were still inside were jumping out through the windows and most of the people stayed in there to wait to be saved. Then at 9:59 a.m. the southern tower collapsed. A lot of black dust was flowing all over Manhattan and people were trying to get to some place where there was clean air. People that were still watching the towers knew that the northern tower would collapse any minute. Then at exactly 10:28 a.m., after burning for approximately 102 minutes, the northern tower fell. Other buildings were destroyed as well like the 7 World Trade Center, and the 3 World Trade Center. This was a horrible day for all Americans. We will always remember all those who died in that horrible event and we will pray for all those who suffered during this tragic event.

Reflection: I think that this was one of the saddest days in the history of America. This tragedy made millions of people suffer and thousands of people die in World Trade Center. I will never forget this day and I will pray for all those who lost loved ones, lost lives, and for those who managed to get out of the World Trade Center alive.

       Student Success Statement

“The key to freedom is obedience.”

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                Boyd K . Packer

I think that this quote means that, if you are obedient, you get more freedom. For example, the people who are in jail are not free because they were not obedient toward the law. Another example is that, some teens do not have freedom because they are not obedient toward their parents. You have to be obedient so you could have freedom to do what you like.
                                                                   Obedience

Obedience: Compliance with an order, request, or law or submission to another’s authority.

Synonyms of Obedience:
·         Accordance
·         Agreement
·         Duty
·         Conformity
·         Respect

  •       The dogs go to obedience training so they can do everything that their masters say.
  •      Small kids are obedient toward their parents.

“What you are as person is far more important than what you are as a basketball player.”

                                                        John Wooden

I think that this quote means that even though you are successful in some challenges people put for you, it is more important for you to act the same way as you acted even before that challenge was put in front of you. It is more important to be a good person.

’’Your past is not your potential.”

                                           Marilyn Ferguson

I think that this quote means that whatever you have done in the past does not determine who you are going to become of what you are going to do in the future. Whatever you have done is in the past now and you cannot change it. I think that this also means that even if you have a bad past that you should also try to do what every other person does. Just because you have made some mistakes doesn't mean you have no right to follow your dreams.
Anesthesiologist

They must also attend a four-year undergraduate program and enroll in pre-medicine or other science concentration. They must also spend one year in an internship and three more years in a residency program.

Reflection: I don’t think that I would like to become one because I don’t think that I would be prepared enough for this type of job. I would be worried if I didn’t put the anesthesia right and the patient would wake up while in surgery.
