Athletic trainer
Duties and responsibilities: Athletic trainers care for
athletic injuries using physical therapy equipment, techniques, and medication.
They also collaborate with physicians in order to develop and implement
comprehensive rehabilitation programs.
Salary: $35,000-$75,000
Education: The minimum requirement to become an athletic
trainer is bachelor’s degree. Experience requirements are clinics or
internships with a college or professional sports team. They must be licensed
with the Board of Certification which requires that applicants have a degree
from and accredited school and a passing score on the qualifying exam.
Reflection:
I would not like to be an athletic trainer because I am not a fast person. To
be an athletic trainer means that you have to be fast and help out people when
they are injured, and I cannot handle that pressure.
