Responsibilities: An oncologist specializes in a variety of cancer diagnostics
and treatment procedures such as chemotherapy and radiation therapy.
Salary: $217,856
Education: To
become an oncologist, you must have as much of 15 years of advanced education and
training. This includes attending undergraduate school, medical school, and one
or more residency training programs. Their certification involves for them to
take a variety of oral exams and performance reviews.
Reflection: I
would not like to become an oncologist because I think that it takes too much
time to become one. I would like to have a career that involves a short amount
of time in school but pays very well.
