St.
Patrick’s Day
St. Patrick’s Day
is celebrated every 17th of March. It began as just a religious celebrate feast for the patron saint of Ireland, but has become so much more over the
years. Nowadays, St. Patrick’s Day has been celebrated all over the world and
in many different ways such as parades, dancing, special foods, and by wearing
green. St. Patrick is the patron saint in Ireland and to many people’s
surprise, he was not Irish. He was a Christian and so was his family but, he didn't show much interest in religion until one day they kidnapped him. He decided to
go back to Ireland because God told him to but, he went back because an angel
told him to go back as a missionary. March
17, of the year 461 was when St. Patrick died. Originally, the color that
represented St. Patrick was blue not green but, because Ireland had so much
green, they changed it. The sham rock is also a very important symbol on St.
Patrick’s Day because St. Patrick used it to explain n Holy Trinity.
